STUDENT ENROLMENT

The Student Enrolment in the current academic session is 301.

2006/2007 ACADEMIC SESSION GRADUATION

The 29th Graduation Service of the College took place on May 26, 2007. 145 Students graduated in different academic programmes.

LIBRARY

The Baptist College of Theology, Oyo Library is fastly growing. The collection is being continuously updated and enlarged. The Library stocks over 8000 volumes. These textbooks are loaned to students and teachers for the preparation of course works. Outsiders also access the Library for the update of their stock of knowledge.

COLLEGE ACADEMIC YEAR

The College academic year spans between August and May of the following year and it comprises of two semesters (August-December and January – May).

STAFF STRENGTH

The College’s staff strength comprises of 54 workers made up of Faculty and Non-Faculty Staff, with varied areas of specializations, ranging from theological and secular experiences. This has broadened the horizon of the College in the recent time for high level performance.

NEW CHUIRCH MANAGEMENT COURSE

CHURCH MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR PASTORS

The College has also introduced Church Management Training Course for the final year students of the College. The course, which was first of its kind, was designed, developed and delivered to the 2007 final year students of the College to enable them stand out as positive models in Church operations.

Today, the College offers basic professional and theological curriculum to equip God-called men and women preparing for Christian ministries. The present areas of instructions include:

a. Certificate in Theology and Religious Education.

b. Diploma in Theology and Religious Education.

c. Bachelor of Theology and Religious Education.

WOMEN TRAINING DEPARTMENT (WTD)

The College also has a Women Training Department (WTD) that caters for the training needs of the Student Pastors’ wives residing on campus. This Department is to expose the recipients of training to some ministerial enhancing programmes that will strengthen their husbands’ ministries and some economic development programmes that will provide added source of income for their families.

The Mission: The Baptist College of Theology (BCT), Oyo aims to be a leading evangelical theological College in Africa committed to excellence in theological education and to the training and re-training of God-called men and women who are academically sound and spiritually mature, competent ministers and effective leaders who will live authentic lives and impact local churches, Christian organizations and institutions, and communities positively and significantly, thus contributing to the development of the nation (s) and the improvement of the world leaving good legacies for posterity.
